Off To Moab

We were up & at ’em early – the cats won’t let anyone sleep in anyhow. LOL  We were hooked up & pulling out of Monument Valley by 9am with a leisurely 147mi ahead of us before reaching our destination at Spanish Trail RV Park in Moab.

The countryside that we traveled today was just spectacular! It was, however, up/down, up/down all the way here.  With grades ranging from 6% to 10%.   Our chauffer walked The Beast right up & down those grades with ease & delivered us all safe & sound to our destination 🙂

Since it was such a short drive today, we were parked & set up by 12:45pm so that was really nice.

After getting settled in, George asked on facebook for those who have been here previously, where to grab a decent lunch & a friend told us to at least try the Moab Brewery, so of course a brewery won the coin toss.   We were very pleasantly surprised when we each ordered one of the daily specials – mine was the Chicken BLT Wrap & George the Beef Fajita special.   They were really good & I’m sure we’ll be back soon.   The only drawback here in Utah is that places like the brewery who actually do sell alcohol, can only sell 4% ABV.  Oh well, there’s a liquor store here too where you can purchase real beer & that’s exactly where we headed next 🙂

The following are pics from our drive over today.
