More Touring On The Last Day Of March

Wow, bye, bye March!

Since we were blessed with another beautiful, sunny day here in Utah we decided to take off on another adventure to see some of the recommended scenic drives & sites in our area.  We also stopped to take the historic photo everyone takes looking back at Monument Valley from where Forrest Gump stopped running in the movie.

Then we were off to Medicine Hat where we stopped for lunch at The Olde Bridge Grill.   On the suggestion of our waitress (who was born & raised in Dallas come to find out) we split one of their Green Chili Burritos.  That was plenty of food each!  We went with the Polygamy Porter as our drink.  When in Utah!

Onward to Goosenecks State Park to see one of the most incredible waterways on the Earth.   The Goosenecks with the San Juan River coursing through them.  Wow!

Then we were back on the road to climb the Moki Dugway shelf road that would carry us on to the Natural Bridges National Monument.

Then we turned around to come back down the Moki Dugway to take the tour through Valley of the Gods which is a miniature version of Monument Valley but just as incredibly pretty.

It was an incredible (and long) day of sightseeing but so glad we went.  Once home I followed up on some work voicemails while George ran down the hill to the food court & picked us up a pizza.  Meh on the pizza but hey, it came from a gas station!

Tomorrow looks like a lazy day as it will be our last day & night here before moving on to Moab on Saturday.
